It's the start of a new month, which means it's time to share my favorites from the past month. Monthly favorite posts and videos are some of my favorite to read or watch, which is why they get their own page on my website :) I hope you like them them as much as I do!
Since Makeher reflects a creative lifestyle you'll see that this list cover many facets of life and include a variety of things that make me smile!
July 2015 Favorites:
Sweet Paul Magazine: I'm setting the bar high for this month's favorites by starting with this find. I discovered the Sweet Paul brand recently and was lucky that it coincided with the release of the summer issue of Sweet Paul Magazine- which comes out seasonally. The magazines are chock full of inspiration for creating, living, cooking, travel, you name it... There are really no words to describe how beautiful this publication is. Let's just say I am ordering back issues this week and will gladly move them to the new house in a few months. I HAVE to have them asap. While the magazine can be a little tricky to find, you can order in from there website. Or, if you're here in Baltimore, stop by Trohv to pick up your copy.
Imagine Dragons- Smoke and Mirror Super Deluxe: This is the album that I have been playing on repeat in my car for the past month. Such a great album! There are 20 songs on the Super Deluxe edition and every. single. one of them is fantastic. You'll recognize some of the songs from the radio, but they aren't even the best from the album. Happy listening!
Kat VonD Tattoo Eye Liner: Why, oh, why did it take me so long to try this eye liner?? I feel like everyone has known and been telling me how AMAZING this eye liner is for years. And guess what- they are right! Sharp, blacket black, completely smudge proof, smooth and easy to apply. Basically everything you want a liquid eye liner to be. I will never be without this again. Don't let the $19 stop you like it did me. It's worth it.
S'well Water Bottle: This purchase was a little unusual for me since I don't normally drink that much water, but decided to give it a try in hopes of changing that and after hearing rave reviews of these bottles. When the sales lady told me the large bottle "fits an entire bottle of wine" I knew she'd made the sale. The thing that makes the S'well bottle so unique is that is keep drinks cold for 12 hours and hot for 24. And while I've only had cold water in my bottle, I'd have to say that's true. It's so nice and refreshing to have cool water hours into my work day. I've found myself using this thing soooo much, and drinking so much water. In fact I've now cut soda out of my routine and now have it only as a "treat".
Ribbon Hair Elastics: This is another item I was slow to embrace. I really didn't know what was so special about it until recently when I learned that it doesn't leave a crease in your hair after being tied back using these magical things! That's huge for me. There is nothing worse than that darn crease that forces you to wash your hair every day if you've worn a pony tail the day before. I curse that crease.
Pilot V5 Pens: I love office supplies and I especially love a sharp tipped pen! This one is just great. I've already added the multi color pack to my Christmas wish list!
Martha Stewart Fringe Cutter: Love Love Love this tool! I got it on sales using a Michaels 40% off coupon and have loved it ever since. Making the tassels is easy peasy and I've used this tool for several projects already. Tassels are popping up all over the house and you'd be surprised at how many things you can embellish with fringe!
